The Capitol Hill Tool Library is a project of Sustainable Capitol Hill which is a network of neighbors, businesses and community groups dedicated to making Capitol Hill a sustainable community. We are working to create a vital neighborhood - one with strong connections between people, place and the local ecosystem.

The Capitol Hill Tool Library has partnered with First Covenant Church to house the tool library. It is located on Crawford Place between Pike and Pine, near Summit and Bellevue.

We can only accept a donation if the tool is new to our inventory, or if that tool is in such good condition that we could use it to replace an existing tool. In which case, we would gladly accept.

We would always accept drill bits, sandpaper and saw blades as they wear out all the time and need to be replaced. However we can't accept more nails, screws, glue or any other disposable materials. We also can't accept scrap parts such as old electronics, scrap wood and metal, pipe fragments and tubing. We don't have the bandwidth to store them and we don't have the volunteer staff to manage taking them to the transfer station.

To sharing and fixing!
